Flanders Ranch Birding

Sage GrouseThe Flanders Ranch is located just across the river from the Carpenter Ranch in the Yampa Valley. The area is home to over 120 species of birds and the Flanders Ranch is within 6 miles of 3 species of grouse!

In the Spring, grouse viewing happens from the end of March to the beginning of May. In the Fall, water fowl, sand hill cranes and warblers are abundant. Staying at the working cattle ranch provides the freedom to engage in bird watching on private land.

The ranch is located close to Steamboat Springs, the regional airport, and several of the locations on the Routt County Birding Trial.
